Download the ChildShield Android package and install it on your device. This build is for authorized clinicians and clinic staff.

Install steps (Android)

Open this page on your Android phone
Use Chrome: https://childshield.cogence.ai/download
Tap “Download APK”
Wait until the download finishes. You may see a progress notification.
Allow install from this source (first time only)
If Android shows “For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source”:
- Tap Settings (or Allow)
- Enable Allow from this source for Chrome (or your browser/Files app)
- Go back and continue the install
Open the downloaded file
Swipe down notifications → tap the APK, or open Files / Downloads → tap Childshield-AI.apk.
Tap Install, then Open when finished.
Grant permissions when prompted
ChildShield may ask for Camera, Photos, and Notifications for prescriptions and follow-up reminders.

After install

Keep the phone unlocked with a strong screen lock (PIN / biometrics).
Use only for authorized clinic follow-up workflows.

Updating the app

Download the latest APK from this page again.
Open the new APK and tap Update / Install.
Your on-device data is usually kept when updating the same package name.

Troubleshooting

Install blocked: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → enable for Chrome/Files.
Parse error / can’t open: Re-download; the file may be incomplete.
App won’t open: Restart the phone, then open ChildShield from the app drawer.

This is a sideloaded APK for clinic distribution. Google Play Protect may warn about apps installed outside the Play Store — that is expected for internal builds. Only install from this official ChildShield link.
